Well let me start off by saying that I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year. At the start of every year people always set their New Years resolutions. I didn't want to choose one this year that was something that I would never stick with or would just absolutely hate. So I said a couple of weeks ago that I was going to come up with a resolution that would be fun and exciting. Well this is it everyone. What funner thing is there to do than sit and tell your friends and family about what's happening in your life or what new accomplishment your children have just made, and still be able to look back on the conversation for years to come. It's like a diary just even better. Although I will warn you that I am new to this and just finding my way around so bare with me for a little bit. I will get the hang of this whole blogging thing eventually..
The year of 2011 was wonderful to us. We started the year off by still adjusting from being a family of three to a family of four. Although it doesn't sound like much of a diffrence it was quite the adjustment since we had been that way for six years. Brooke is a blessing to all of us though. We each were so excited when she was born and was able to come home. Each holiday this year just began to get funner and funner as she got a little bit older and older. She could recognize what was happening and join in on the excitement with Logan. It is so much fun to watch. It started with Easter. Logan wanted her to help dye the eggs and it was on for the rest of the year. In his book she wasn't to young for anything. When I was pregnant with her I was a little worried about the age difference between them, and that they might not be very close since they were so far apart. Well if this year was any type of example to go off of then I have absolutely nothing to worry about. They run around like two peas in a pod.
Even though last year was great, I will say that I am completely ready to start a new and fresh year. There are so many things to look forward to in 2012 for us. In just a matter of a few weeks Kevin and I will be heading on a "mommy and daddy" vacation to Las Vegas for work. Those are always alot of fun getting to spend time with family in an adult Disney World. That is what I call it. Logan will turning 8 (I am still in shock on that one) and Brooke will be 2 this year. My babies are growing up. Once I find a way to freeze time you all will be the first ones I let in on the secret I promise. I wish they could stay my babies forever. Anyhow this summer my sister-in-law/ best friend in the whole world will be getting married. I am so happy for her and Joey. They are a great couple and I couldn't of picked someone better for her if I would have done it myself. Last but not least, this October will mark the date of me spending the last ten years with the best husband and girl could ever ask for. Time has went by so fast it really just doesn't seem real. He really is not only my husband but my best freind. I already have so much to look forward to and it is only January 2nd. I am guessing 2012 is going to be a very busy and exciting time for our family. The only thing I can ask from is that in the midst of all the craziness is that our bond as a family and with god get even stronger as the year moves on. Keeping us all safe and together.
Well I guess this is me wrapping up my first blog ever. I promise I will try to get better and cut out all of the ramblings, but I am new and their are a million thoughts running through my head while I am writing this. I am a wife and mother after all. I am sure alot of you can relate to that. Happy New Year again everyone and may god bless each of you.
